Contour's LSTs are made from highly durable material, which is customised to suit the individual environment for which your radiatiors/guards are located.
LST radiators are made out of a 1.5mm Zintec mild steel as standard.
Alternatively, we also offer LST radiators made from other materials such as stainless steel or magnelis. This is a form of steel that has undergone an additional treatment stage similar to hot-dipped galvanising.
In mental health wards, magnelis is particularly beneficial as it ‘s 10x more resistant to rust which means that it can be installed into bathrooms and other spaces where condensation may be present.
Contour also offer 2mm aluminium LST radiators for areas where the demand for anti-ligature solutions isn’t a requirement.
Additionally, our LST radiators come with additional folds in the radiator guard to ensure extra strength and resistance to the hectic environments we install into.
We can also supply our casings with additional strengthening struts for areas which are prone to high bed traffic such as hospital corridors.
